Bystronic invited its customers from both of the European Market Regions and Mexico, together with international media representatives, to take part in a special kind of festival. Around 700 customers and numerous journalists took up the invitation in order to learn more about Bystronic's new machines from the Waterjet Cutting, Bending and Automation Business Units at the Competence Days from the 8th to the 19th of October 2007 at the company's Headquarters in Niederönz, Switzerland.

Innovation³ was the motto chosen for the event and in this context Bystronic presented the Beyeler Xpert pressbrake, the ByJet Pro waterjet cutting system, which had been on display for the first time at the EMO 2007 in Hannover, Germany, and the new ByTrans automation system to the many interested visitors. But the event was not just a platform to present the latest innovations, "it also offered an opportunity for the mutual exchange of experience between users and the supplier of high-quality sheet metal processing systems", in the words of Christoph Schüpbach, Head of the Market Region Europe North/East.
